Herringbone
Probably the most popular style of parquet flooring, herringbone is made up of wooden planks of equal size that are placed in a zig-zag pattern. Herringbone is best for large rooms because it makes a very powerful style statement. 
Chevron
Similar to the herringbone parquet style, this elaborate flooring pattern features diagonal planks. With a chevron pattern, the planks meet each other almost like an arrow point, creating a striped look. This look is perfect for making a room appear to be larger than it is.
Basket Weave
Another style of parquet flooring is basket weave, which has a woven appearance. It’s made up of wooden planks fitting over and under each other. This type of wood flooring pattern is great for adding dimension and texture to any room.
Mosaic
Inspired by the marble mosaics that used to be seen on palace floors, mosaic wooden flooring is made by stitching small wood strips together in a variety of geometric patterns. They can give any room of your home a unique look that accentuates its design.
